The sky's the limit after securing CAA permission to fly drones

Up, up and
away.
From the CCM blog.

Chocolate Cake Media can now add a new perspective to your videos, after securing Civil Aviation Authority permission to fly our company drone commercially.

Our videographer Matt Lepora gained his remote pilot “wings” after passing theory and flight tests, and wrote the Operations Manual that sets out how we conduct flights for our clients.

Managing Director Scott Benzie said: “Congratulations to Matt for completing this training and achieving the CAA permission for Chocolate Cake Media. It’s great news. Navigating the COVID pandemic has inspired us to look for new ways to enhance the service we offer our clients. Putting Matt through the drone training was also a way I could show my commitment to staff development during these challenging times.”

With the CAA certificate in place, we can now include drone photography and video in client projects, whether that’s a bird’s-eye view of a workplace and its location or action scenes filmed from the air.

The possibilities are endless. Find out more about our drone filming.
